Ees een French! Or not. They Fight Crime is sort of a Nobody Scores! all-star episode and if you are new to the strip it might be more confusing then average, so let me fill you in: Sara, Beans, Jane, and Raoul may all be referenced via the topbar or the explanation page. The others are bit characters and extras. Captain Krakowitz appeared before, defending liberty or buzzwords or something in Law & Order: DHS. The hippies I found in the park. Crime Dawg makes his first guest-starring appearance in this strip; the writers are undecided on future appearances, so it’ll probably happen. Now, the anything-goes lieutenants are 1) Genghis Khan, who makes his first appearance here, and locally in these two fine episodes; and 2) Skeleton Warrior, whose full array of capabilities are awesomely viewable here, and who appears in Nobody Scores! in a variety of circumstances, to which he has always adapted well, with a fine variety of nuanced performances.
In technical news, Ohnorobot.com has apparently and without warning decided to vacate my site. I have been playing Peter Gabriel outside his window for the last three days, but the mellifluous notes of “Salisbury Hill” affect whatever machine beats in his cold robot chest not at all. I’ll see if I can get to the root of it this upcoming week, if I still have a credit card.
(UPDATE: The buttons have returned, but the service is kicking back errors when a transcription is attempted. Stupid Skynet! Ohnorobot.com is working now. I think.)
Today’s music selections are awesome and Japanese: the soothing sounds of the Polysics, and then there’s this Chu-Lip thing. So much for Anglophone dominance of rock music! ^ _ ^ and shit.
Also, from comments, we have this helpful presentation, which I find elaborates upon the official Nobody Scores! FAQ in ways that really tease out some surprising meanings in the text.
One more thing: ya gotta check out this dude’s reenactments of various famous movie scenes.
Share internet fun and other technologies I can try and fail to implement on this site in the comments. If I am real good I’ll get my site working this well in no time.
